  2. The Customer is entitled to place an order in the Webshop only after becoming familiar with and accepting the provisions of these GTC. By visiting the Webshop, the Customer accepts the provisions of these GTC and acknowledges them as binding. The term “Customer” refers to the consumer.
  3. The Service Provider sells its products via the Webshop according to these GTC, which the Customer accepts as binding upon visiting the Webshop and submitting a valid order.
  4. These GTC apply to all contracts concluded between the Service Provider and the Customer through the use of the Webshop. Unless otherwise stated, these GTC are valid for all offers, deliveries, and services provided by the Service Provider.
  5. By submitting an order through the Webshop, the Customer expressly consents to the Service Provider using the email provided during registration for contract formation purposes. The Customer’s order is effective only if the Service Provider confirms the order to the email address provided.
  6. By reading and accepting these GTC, the Customer acknowledges that different promotions and offers cannot be combined.

Subject of the Contract, Purchase Process

  1. The subject of the contract concluded in the Webshop is the products offered by the Service Provider in the Webshop. During the first purchase, the Customer is required to provide the necessary information for the purchase, including name (first and last name), email address, delivery and billing address, and phone number. Creating a registered user account is not necessary for the purchase.
  2. The Customer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the data entered, as the order will be invoiced and delivered based on the information provided. The Customer acknowledges that the Service Provider excludes liability for any performance issues arising from incorrect data entry.
  3. The prices displayed in the Webshop are gross prices and include the applicable VAT. The final purchase price of the product is the value increased by VAT, calculated based on the applicable legal regulations on the day the invoice is issued. The prices displayed do not include delivery costs. The invoice for the purchase will be sent electronically to the contact provided by the Customer. The Service Provider reserves the right to change the prices of the products available in the Webshop, with the change becoming effective at the same time as it is displayed on the website. The change does not affect the price of products that have already been ordered and confirmed by the Service Provider.
  4. The Service Provider retains ownership of the product until the purchase price has been paid. The product remains the property of the Service Provider until the purchase price is fully paid. The contract concluded through the Webshop qualifies as a distance contract under the government decree on contracts between consumers and businesses.
  5. Products in the Webshop are categorized. The Customer can select the desired product family by clicking on the product categories in the Webshop, then select individual products within these categories. Clicking on a product will display the product image, item number, description, and price.
  6. After selecting the product to be purchased, the Customer can add any number of products to the cart by clicking the “Add to Cart” button without incurring any obligation to buy or pay, as adding products to the cart does not constitute an offer.
  7. At any time during the use of the Webshop, the contents of the cart can be checked by clicking on the “View Cart” icon at the top of the page. Here, the Customer has the option to remove selected products from the cart or change the quantity of the products.
  8. If the Customer does not wish to select and add more products to the cart, the purchase can be continued by clicking the “Checkout” button. After pressing the “Checkout” button, the contents of the cart and the total purchase price to be paid for the selected products will be displayed. The user data (delivery method, payment method, contact information) must be completed at this point.
  9. Once the Customer has verified that the cart contents match the products they wish to order and found all data correct, by pressing the “Submit Order” button, the Customer expressly acknowledges that their offer should be considered made, and their statement, if confirmed by the Service Provider in accordance with these GTC, will result in a payment obligation.
  10. The Customer can place an order at any time. The Service Provider will confirm the Customer’s order via email no later than 3 working days after the order is submitted.
  11. The ordered products can be paid for online. For orders placed and delivered within Hungary, cash on delivery is also an option.
  12. In the case of online payments, the Customer can choose between two payment methods: Stripe and PayPal. During payment, the Customer is redirected to the financial service provider’s payment page, so the payment is not processed on the Webshop’s page but directly on the financial service provider’s platform, operated according to the rules and security requirements of international financial institutions and card companies. The Service Provider does not have access to and does not view the Customer’s PayPal account data, bank card data, or the number, expiration date of the bank account behind it.
  13. The Customer acknowledges that the following personal data stored in the Service Provider’s customer database will be transmitted to the financial service provider as the data processor: email address, billing name, billing address, order total. The nature and purpose of the data processing activity performed by the data processor can be viewed in the Stripe and PayPal privacy policies at the following links: [https://stripe.com/en-hu/privacy; https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/privacy/privacyhub].
  14. The Customer needs the following data for bank card payment:
  15. Card number (the number embossed or printed on the front of the card)
  16. Expiration date (the number embossed or printed on the front of the card, in MM/YY format)
  17. Verification code (the last three digits of the number on the signature panel on the back of the card)
  18. The Customer can pay with the following card types in the Webshop:
  19. VISA
  20. MasterCard
  21. Discover
  22. JCB
  23. American Express

Methods of Delivery

  1. The available delivery methods, both within Hungary and abroad, include courier services. Detailed information on regional shipping fees can be found at the following link: [https://furreepet.com/en/shipping-information/]
  2. The ordered products are delivered by the Service Provider’s contractual partner (DPD); however, the Service Provider may use the assistance of third parties as subcontractors when necessary.
  3. The delivery time is 5 working days from the confirmation of the order for products in stock. If the product is not in stock, the delivery time is 10 working days. Therefore, the Customer must provide an address where they can receive the product during the agreed time. The Service Provider’s customer service will inform the Customer of the expected delivery date by email.
  4. If, for any reason, the delivery time cannot be met, the Service Provider will notify the Customer by email. The Customer cannot claim damages from the Service Provider for any delay in delivery.
  5. If the delivery cannot be completed for any reason, such as an incorrect or incomplete address, or the Customer is not present to receive the product, the delivery fee will not be paid. In such cases, the product may be returned to the Service Provider, with a notification left for the Customer. The Service Provider and the Customer will agree on a new delivery date via email. Any additional delivery costs resulting from failed delivery attempts due to reasons within the Customer’s control will be borne by the Customer.
  6. Upon delivery, the Customer must inspect the package and its contents. If the Customer notices any damage to the product, they must notify the courier and have a report drawn up with the courier. If the Customer fails to do so, the Service Provider will not accept any subsequent claims regarding damage to the product.

Consumer-Specific Provisions

Right of Withdrawal for Consumers

  1. The consumer has the right to withdraw from the purchase without any reason within 14 calendar days of receiving the ordered product. The consumer can notify the Service Provider of their intention to withdraw by email, no later than the last day of the above deadline.
  2. The Service Provider will confirm receipt of the consumer’s withdrawal notice by email without delay.
  3. The consumer may exercise their right of withdrawal:
  4. In the case of a contract for the sale of a product.
  5. In the case of multiple products, if the delivery of individual products occurs at different times, the right of withdrawal applies to the last product delivered.
  6. The deadline for withdrawal starts from the day the consumer or a third party designated by the consumer (other than the carrier) receives the product.
  7. The consumer’s right to withdraw is not affected by the fact that they can also exercise this right in the period between concluding the contract and receiving the product.
  8. If the consumer withdraws, the Service Provider must refund the total amount paid by the consumer, including delivery and packaging costs, within 14 calendar days after the withdrawal and return of the product. The refund will be made using the same payment method used by the consumer, unless the consumer explicitly agrees to a different method. In such a case, no additional fees may be charged to the consumer.
  9. The consumer is responsible for any diminished value of the product resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the product. The Service Provider has the right to deduct this diminished value from the refund amount.

Provisions Specific to Consumers

Consumer’s Right of Withdrawal

  1. The consumer is entitled to withdraw from the purchase without any conditions and without providing a reason within 14 calendar days from receiving the ordered product. The consumer can notify the Service Provider of their intention to withdraw by sending a declaration via email no later than the last day of the above-mentioned deadline.
  2. The Service Provider will immediately confirm the receipt of the consumer’s withdrawal declaration via email.
  3. The consumer may exercise their right of withdrawal:
  4. In the case of a contract for the sale of a product,
  5. In the case of the product,
  6. In the case of the sale of multiple products where the services are delivered at different times, the right of withdrawal applies to the last delivered product.
The right of withdrawal is exercised within the period from the day when the consumer, or a third party other than the carrier designated by the consumer, receives the product.
  7. The above provisions do not affect the consumer’s right to exercise their right of withdrawal between the date of contract conclusion and the date of receipt of the product. If the consumer has made an offer to conclude the contract, they have the right to withdraw the offer before the contract is concluded, thereby terminating the binding offer.
  8. In the event of withdrawal, the Service Provider must refund the price paid for the product, including any shipping and packaging costs, to the consumer no later than 14 calendar days after the withdrawal and return of the product. The Service Provider will make the refund using the same payment method used by the consumer unless the consumer expressly agrees to another payment method. In such cases, no additional fees may be charged to the consumer. The Service Provider shall not be liable for delays due to incorrect or inaccurate bank account or postal address details provided by the consumer. The consumer must bear the cost of returning the product. The Service Provider does not bear the cost of the product’s return.
  9. The consumer is liable for any reduction in the product’s value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to determine the nature, characteristics, and functionality of the product. The Service Provider is entitled to deduct the diminished value from the refund amount, applying the reduction proportionately to the purchase price of the returned product. The Service Provider will inspect the product returned by the consumer, paying particular attention to the duration of use. The degree of value reduction will be established based on the nature, price, and degree of wear resulting from the use of the product.
  10. The Service Provider explicitly draws the consumer’s attention to the fact that they may not exercise their right of withdrawal in the cases outlined in Article 29 (1) of Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.).

Warranty and Guarantee for Consumers

Implied Warranty

  1. In case of faulty performance by the Service Provider, the consumer may assert implied warranty claims against the Service Provider based on the rules of the Civil Code.
  2. The consumer may choose between the following implied warranty claims: they may request repair or replacement, unless fulfilling the consumer’s chosen claim is impossible or would involve disproportionate additional costs for the business compared to fulfilling other claims. If the consumer has not requested or cannot request repair or replacement, they may demand a proportionate reduction of the price or, in the final instance, withdraw from the contract. The consumer may switch from one implied warranty right to another; however, the consumer bears the cost of switching, unless justified by the situation or provided by the Service Provider.
  3. The consumer must notify the Service Provider of the defect immediately after discovery. Any defect reported within two months of discovery is considered to have been reported without delay.
  4. The consumer may enforce their implied warranty claims within a two-year limitation period from the date of receipt, for defects that existed at the time of delivery. After two years, the consumer can no longer assert implied warranty claims.
  5. The limitation period does not include the time during which the consumer cannot use the product for its intended purpose due to repairs.
  6. If the product or part of the product is replaced or repaired, the implied warranty period will restart for the replaced or repaired part. This rule also applies if the repair results in a new defect.
  7. The consumer can enforce their implied warranty claims against the Service Provider.

Product Warranty

  1. In the case of a defective product, the consumer may choose to assert either implied warranty or product warranty claims.
  2. As a product warranty claim, the consumer may only request the repair or replacement of the defective product, or if repair is not possible within a reasonable time and without harming the consumer’s interests, they may request a replacement.
  3. A product is defective if it does not meet the quality requirements valid at the time it is placed on the market or if it lacks the features described by the manufacturer.
  4. The consumer may assert their product warranty claims within two years from the date the product was placed on the market by the manufacturer. After this two-year period, the consumer loses this right. The consumer must notify the manufacturer of the defect immediately after discovering it. Any defect reported within two months of discovery is considered to have been reported without delay. The consumer is responsible for any damage resulting from delayed reporting.
  5. The manufacturer (distributor) is only exempt from product warranty obligations if they can prove (it is sufficient to prove one reason for exemption) that:
    1. They did not manufacture or distribute the product in the course of their business, or
    2. The defect could not have been detected according to the state of scientific and technical knowledge at the time of placing the product on the market, or
    3. The product’s defect is the result of a law or mandatory official regulation.
  6. The consumer may assert both implied warranty claims against the business and product warranty claims against the manufacturer simultaneously for the same defect. If the consumer has successfully enforced their product warranty claim, the consumer may only assert their implied warranty claim regarding the replaced or repaired part of the product against the manufacturer.

Guarantee

  1. The products available in the Webshop are subject to the mandatory warranty conditions stipulated by law. In the case of defective performance, the Service Provider is obligated to provide a guarantee in accordance with Government Decree 151/2003 (IX. 22.) on the mandatory warranty for certain durable consumer goods and the rules of the Civil Code.
  2. The warranty period is:
    a) Two years for products with a sale price of at least HUF 10,000 but not exceeding HUF 250,000,
    b) Three years for products with a sale price exceeding HUF 250,000.

For products with a value below HUF 10,000, the Service Provider provides a six-month warranty, starting from the day the product is delivered to the consumer.

  1. The scope of the regulation only applies to new products sold under consumer contracts concluded in Hungary.
  2. The consumer may enforce their warranty rights with the warranty certificate provided. The improper issuance of the warranty certificate or the failure to provide a warranty certificate does not affect the validity of the warranty. If no warranty certificate is provided, the contract is deemed to have been concluded if the consumer presents the invoice proving payment. The fulfillment of the warranty claim does not require the return of the opened packaging of the product.
  3. Warranty claims do not cover defects that arise after the product is delivered to the consumer, such as:
    1. Improper installation (unless the installation was carried out by the Service Provider or their representative, or the improper installation is due to an error in the user manual),
    2. Damage to or illegibility of manufacturing numbers or unique identification labels,
    3. Misuse of the product, disregarding the instructions in the user manual,
    4. Improper storage, improper handling, damage,
    5. Damage caused by natural disasters or force majeure.

Complaint Handling

  1. The Service Provider’s goal is to fulfill every order with high quality and to the complete satisfaction of the Customer. However, if the consumer has any complaints regarding the Service Provider’s performance, they can submit their complaint through the telephone number, email address, or postal address listed on the Service Provider’s website.
  2. The Service Provider will immediately investigate and, if necessary, address oral complaints. If the consumer does not agree with the handling of the complaint or if an immediate investigation is not possible, the Service Provider is required to record the complaint and its stance on the matter in a report. A copy of the report – in the case of a telephone or electronically communicated oral complaint – will be sent to the consumer along with the substantive response within 30 days.
  3. The Service Provider will respond to written complaints within 30 days, providing a substantive and verifiable answer. If the Service Provider rejects the consumer’s complaint, it is required to provide a justification. The Service Provider will retain the report of the complaint and the response for three years and present them to the authorities upon request.
  4. If the consumer’s complaint is rejected, they may initiate proceedings with an authority (the government office acts as the general consumer protection authority) or a conciliation body.
